The First Day of 2016

2016: New Year, Same Me



So lets face it, every year, on this date, we come up with a list of things we want to accomplish within the year, and by week 2 we've fallen back into old ways.  Or at least, that's how it is for me. :P  So I want to make long term goals as well as SHORT term goals.  Things I want to accomplish in a week or month sometime throughout the year. Fun things and not so fun things.  This is the list I've created so far and will be added to as the year progressed as well as marked off when I get it done :)  Perhaps I'll have to do some more than once, but if thats the case, well, not everything was done and accomplished on the first try. So in no necessary order:

Daily goals to do each day:

  • Write in a journal
  • Learn something new
  • Make someone smile (even if its myself ;) )

Week goals to do in the upcoming weeks:
  • Clean out closet and donate clothes
  • Clean out the pantry (get rid of the junk! will have to do this soon)
  • Give up candy for a week
  • Straighten up basement
  • Spruce up the yard

Month goals:
  • Read a book on my bookshelf (not on my nook)
  • Scan in photos for photo book
  • Go to a museum
  • Write on one/two ancestors
  • Have one treat yo'self day a month

Year goals:

  • Work on positive self image
  • Be kinder to myself
  • Work on healthy eating/exercising and not backsliding
  • Get organized
  • Create family photo book out of old photos
  • Start writing a family history
  • Interview family members
  • Go on a vacation
